Mirtha Yepez is a Montreal entrepreneur cosmopolite born in Venezuela, surrounded by the majestic Orinoco river. Home of the tepuyes and the world's highest uninterrupted waterfall "The angel falls". Living and working on projects with her indigenous communities since 1996 with OrinoquiArt, which means "Art of the Orinoco".
Inspire by her travels and native culture she founded MY PUTCHI to bring you the eclectic elegance and the alluring beauty of South America, where the folk culture became a huge influence, and people fell in love with the amazing craftsmanship. she decided more people deserve to see and wear these hand made products of a high quality, innovative and Ready-to-wear this fashion accessories.
MY PUTCHI more than a brand is a sustainable project, creating and transforming lives, supporting the traditional skills, make a sustainable income because many communities face challenging living conditions and restricted opportunities. And the young indigenous people leave their communities to urban areas and the ancestral art goes in extinction. Also 20% of the sales are destined to supply OrinoquiArt and FarmAyuda Foundation in medicines, Baby milk powders and school supplies to be able to provide the necessary help to the children in need in their native country Venezuela.

Our mission is use sustainable production methods to generate economic, social and environmental value, to benefit people and communities, based on the values of quality, respect and fairness.
The name "My Putchi" which means in guajiro dialect "The Word". The word of the Wayuu. In the wayuu community the word makes the invisible visible and blends past and present.
Our turtle logo represents "The Union" between heaven and earth.
The Wayuu are known as the people of the sun, sand, and wind. They are located in the arid Guajira Peninsula in northern Colombia and northwest Venezuela.
My Putchi was born to share our culture heritage with others around the world, to bring you this "Piece of Art" woven by hand using techniques passed down for centuries from generation to generation and you deserve to see and wear these precious treasures and make them, perfect for your lifestyle, travels around the world or any summer event.
EACH PUTCHI HAT IS A PIECE OF ART HANDMADE BY GENUINE WAYUU COMMUNITIES IN LA GUAJIRA, WHERE THE ART OF HAT WEAVING IN THE FAMILY COMES FROM GENERATION TO GENERATION.
My Putchi Hat creates its designs and colors, working directly with the artisans. The hats take 10 hours o a day depending on the design.
